Really nice steak restaurant in the historic harbor city of Hellevoetsluis. Within walking distance of the beach and in the heart of the old city quarters, this steak house is serving high quality meat under a relaxed atmosphere.
You will need a reservation in advance, the place is fully booked every night it seems. Locals love the place.
Can highly recommend the pepper steak and tournedos.
The prices seem fair for the amount you get. The dishes are really well put together. Each main dish comes with fries and a salad (which is great, btw).
We ordered a starter, some drinks and a main dish for each person, bill is for 4 persons.
The service is overall good, but we noticed some of the inexperienced staff made some small mistakes in preparing the tables.
Overall a great experience, will visit again when going for a steak outdoors.
Bottom line: good quality restaurant with some minor spaces for improvement. They are somewhat strict when placing clients. The table of our choice was refused because "it is for six people". Later we noticed that 3 out of 4 of these tables were occupied with 4 people (like us). Steaks are obviously their strength. The 500 gr T-bone steaks are great, also their salmon. Avoid the Mega Schnitzel, it was dry and chewy, without sauce. Recommended: Roquefort- and mushroom sauce. Red Port sauce is too sweet and somewhat boring. Very good: ice coffee.
